FIDE Title Fees Covered by Federations

As a measure to support the goal of increasing the number of title holders set forth in Vision 2030, the Japan Chess Federation will cover the full amount of the FIDE fee for GM/IM/WGM/WIM and half of the fee for FM/WFM, which were previously paid in full by the players when they acquired international titles. This will be applied retroactively to titles acquired after 2024.
Note: If a player transfers to another country within a short period after obtaining a title, a fee may be charged.
