EnglishThe FIDE World Cadet Chess Championships 2025 will be held from Thursday, September 18 to Wednesday, October 1 in Almaty, Kazakhstan.
Registration: Please email japanchess.info@gmail.com by Monday, June 16.
Eligibility: U8, U10, U12 (Open and Girls sections; one invited spot per category)
*e.g., U8 players must be under 8 years old as of January 1, 2025 (born on or after 2017).
Official players will not need to pay for accommodation and meals. Official players will be determined based on the results of the Japan Cadets Chess Championship 2025.
In this tournament, direct titles will be awarded to the top three players in each of the Open and Girls categories according to FIDE regulations. FIDE over-the-board title norms are also possible as per FIDE Handbook requirements.

U12 – 1st equal: FM/WFM title, Silver and Bronze: CM/WCM title

U10 & U8 – Gold, Silver, and Bronze: CM/WCM title
Each title will be awarded once the player has reached the following rating thresholds, even at a previous time:
FM 2100 / WFM 1900, CM 2000 / WCM 1800.
