Tokyo Chess Festival

A friendly tournament in the fall in Tokyo (hopefully in some nice cooler weather!). There will be 2 sections: Open and U1600, plus another Rapid Challenge! Come play some chess and get ready for next month’s Japan Open!

Please be careful: The dates are Sunday and Monday! (and the Challenge is on Monday)
But NOT Saturday and Sunday!!

Tournament Info:

Dates ：October 13(Sun), 14(Mon) 2019
Venue ：”Kyurian” (Shinagawa Sogo Shimin Kaikan) at JR Oimachi station

Time Control：
Open and U1600 sections: 6 rounds, 45min+30sec/move, NCS-rated
Rapid Challenge2: 5 rounds, 15min+10sec/move  (1day-tournament on 14th only)

Entry Rule：
Open Section: Any NCS members
U1600 Section: Any NCS members rated <1600, UR members whose level is <1600.
Rapid Challenge2: Any NCS members rated <1600 UR, Beginners welcome!

Entry Fee：
Open and U1600: Adults – 6000yen, U23 – 5000yen, U18 – 3000yen
Rapid Challenge2: Adults – 3000yen, U18 – 2000yen
(half price for GM and IM title holders)

• Prize giving and closing ceremony after all the games are finished
