Dates: June 26-27 2021

Playing platform: Chess.com

Time Control: 30min + 30sec/move

Format: 5 Round Swiss, not rated

Entry fee/Registration:

Entry Criteria: For NCS members only (yearly or 1-time tournament members)

Entry Fee: 2,000yen (Payment deadline – June 23th)
Entries are accepted from June 7th 20:00 to June 22nd 20:00
(The event may be cancelled if there are less than 16 participants)

June 27th – 11:00, 13:30

    1st – 80,000, 2nd – 60,000, 3rd – 40,000
    1st place U1800, U1400, Senior, Women – 30,000 each
  • Amazon Gift Card: 1st 5,000, 2nd 3,000, 3rd 2,000 yen
    1st place for U1900, U1600, U1300, Senior, Women – 2,000 yen each
  • Tie-breaks will be used to determine winners. No two players will share the prize. A winner of the open group is excluded from his/her group.

Other information:

  • Make sure your membership is valid in order to play. NCS yearly membership fee is 6300yen for adults, 4200yen for the ages between 19 and 22, 3200yen for 15 and 18 and 2200yen for 14 and under.
  • Be careful when making moves not to have a “mouse-slip! There is no way to take back an erroneous move. It is possible to experience a temporary loss of internet connectivity on your computer. This is generally your responsibility but if it persists, inform the TD.

Fair Play:

  • Games are subject to monitoring by chess.com anti-cheating software. Players must abide by chess.com fair play rules.  That means no assistance from any source including chess engines, databases, books, notes, other players, analysis on chess boards etc.  Fair play rulings by chess.com are FINAL.
  • If some cheating is suspected and reported by Chess.com, the player’s game’s result will be deleted and further penalty may be imposed.
