A long awaited place will open on Thursday, February 1st, 2024 for chess fans.

Chess Center UENO is a place open for all chess players.

Open Every week on Sunday and Thursday.

A match against player of the same level will be arranged, and you can even challenge our staff. Please purchase tickets of the date and time you want to visit us. If there are spots left, you can purchase tickets on the day you want to participate.

8 minute walk from Iriya Station (Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line)

9 minute walk from Inaricho Station (Tokyo Metro Ginza Line)

11 minute walk from Ueno Station (JR/Tokyo Metro Lines)

Operation Dates: Sunday and Thursday

・Sunday: Open 10:00-22:00 (Last Entrance is 21:30)

There are 3 different time frames: 10:00-14:00, 14:00-18:00, 18:00-22:00

・Thursday: Open 17:00-22:00（Last Entrance is 21:30)

There is 1 time frame: 17:00-22:00

・There may be temporal closures on operation days when the venue is used for other events.

You can’t purchase tickets for those days , but you can check the open dates in the Event Calendar.

Entry Fee: You can enter for 500 yen until May 31st as an opening discount!
(Per 1 tickets, you can stay from open to close on Thursdays, and for one time frame on Sundays.)

Purchase tickets through [Peatix] (Limit: 16 spots for each time frame)

*One additional guardian may enter for each minor participant.

・You may come in and come out freely during the time frames you have purchased the tickets of. There are free drinks, and you may bring in food.
