EnglishThe 23rd ASEAN+ Age-Group Chess Championships will be held from Tuesday, July 1st, to Friday, July 11th, in Penang, Malaysia.

Eligibility: U20, U18, U16, U14, U12, U10, U8, U6 (Open and Girls)
*e.g., U20 players must be under 20 years old as of January 1, 2025 (born on or after 2005).
Over-50 (Open and Women) – Born on or before December 31, 1975
Over-65 (Open and Women) – Born on or before December 31, 1960
It has been officially confirmed that direct titles will be awarded at this tournament. Additional details are provided below.
- In the Open and Girls sections of Over-50, Over-65, U20, and U18, if the requirements are met, players who finish 1st equal will be awarded the IM/WIM title, and Silver and Bronze medalists will receive IM/WIM norms as direct titles. For details, please refer to section 8.0 of the regulations.
- U20 – Gold: IM/WIM norm, Silver & Bronze: FM/WFM titles
- U18 – Gold & Silver: FM/WFM titles, Bronze: CM/WCM titles
- U16 & U14 – 1st equal: FM/WFM titles, Silver & Bronze: CM/WCM titles
- U12, U10 & U8 – Gold, Silver, and Bronze all receive CM/WCM titles
Each title will be awarded once the player has reached the following rating thresholds, even at a previous time:
IM 2200 / WIM 2000, FM 2100 / WFM 1900, CM 2000 / WCM 1800.
