FIDE World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad 2025

The FIDE World Youth U16 Chess Olympiad 2025 will be held from Saturday, August 16th, to Saturday, August 23rd, in Barranquilla, Colombia.

 

Registration: Please email japanchess.info@gmail.com by Sunday, May 25th.

Eligibility: U16 – Players must be under 16 years old as of January 1, 2025 (born in 2009 or later).

  • A team will be organized and sent if at least 4 players (including at least one boy and one girl) have registered.

  • If 5 or more players have registered, the selection for the team will, in principle, be based on the results of the Japan Youth Chess Championship 2025.

  • Accommodation and meals will be covered by the organizer, but transportation and coaching fees (including the coach’s travel expenses) will be the responsibility of the players.
