The Japan Chess Federation is now accepting applications for Spot Interns who can assist with selected day-to-day operations for a period of approximately three months.
Until now, the Japan Chess Federation has recruited Volunteer Staff who provide ongoing support for our daily activities. However, due in part to the high commitment required for long-term involvement, we have not been able to secure a sufficient number of staff, making additional support essential.
To address this challenge, we are launching a new Spot Intern program, designed to allow people whose availability varies by season or circumstance to contribute on a fixed-term basis.
This position is well suited for those who feel that long-term staff participation would be difficult, but who would like to contribute for a limited period, as well as for those who are interested in volunteering with the Federation but feel the commitment may be a bit daunting and would like to try it out first.
After gaining hands-on experience, Spot Interns may, if they wish, transition directly into a Volunteer Staff role.
Please read the information below and consider applying. We look forward to your interest and participation.
