EnglishThe Asian Individual Chess Championships 2026 will be held from Thursday, May 28th, to Sunday, June 7th, in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
Registration: Please apply using this form by Thursday, April 16th.
*Please check individually whether you require a visa for travel.
Eligibility: Open and Women
For participants from Japan, one player from each of the Open and Women sections will be eligible as an official player. They will be provided with board and lodging. If there are multiple applicants, the invited slots will be determined based on the results of the Japan Chess Championship 2025 (Open) and the Japan Women’s Chess Championship 2025 (Women).
The top five (5) players from the 2026 Asian (Open) Championship shall qualify for the FIDE World Cup 2027 and the top one (1) player from the 2026 Asian Women’s Championship shall qualify for the FIDE Women’s World Cup 2027.
