A beginner only chess club for those who want to:

-learn how to play Chess

-try playing over the board

-enjoy Chess with other beginners

Individuals are welcome, staff will support you.

Let’s debut in Chess at Chess Center UENO! 

 

Regulations

Target Audience

Those who want to start or have just started playing Chess

 

Date/Venue

Date: October 18 (Sun), November 15 (Sun), and December 20 (Sun) 12:00 ~ 17:00

*You may enter and exit freely during the session you have purchased.

 

 Venue: Chess Center UENO

2-11-3-101 Kita-Ueno, Taito-ku, Tokyo (Map)

Tokyo Metro Hibiya Line Iriya station 8 minutes by walking

Tokyo Metro Ginza Line Inaricho station 9 minutes by walking

JR/Tokyo Metro Ueno station 11 minutes by walking

 

Contents: All participants are beginners. Please enjoy playing and discussing between the participants.

For those who are new in Chess, the staff will explain the rules.

If you participate from the “Chess Lessons for Beginners” in AM, try playing out what you have learned in the course!

 

Fee and Registration

Registration: Please purchase a ticket via Peatix during the registration period [Limited to 16 participants per each event]

Participation fee: ¥1,000 (including tax)

*Please present the QR code displayed on your e-ticket upon arrival

* No cash payment. Make sure to purchase your ticket on Peatix.

*One guardian may enter freely for minor participants.

*One free drink is included, and you may bring your own food.

Others

  • To protect privacy, taking photographs of other participants without their consent is prohibited.
  • The organisers may take photographs and record video footage of the event. These may be published or used on media managed by the Japan Chess Federation, such as websites, social media, video-sharing sites and official publications. Participants are deemed to have consented to the publication of these photographs and videos.

  • If you are running late or unable to attend, please contact info.chesscenterueno@gmail.com.
  • Please refer to the ‘Cancellation Policy’ regarding refunds of participation fees.
  • The Japan Chess Federation shall not be responsible for any troubles between individuals.
  • If there is a discrepancy between English and Japanese, the Japanese version prevails.
