EnglishThe 20th Asian Schools Chess Championships 2026 will be held in the Tula Region, Russia, from Thursday, October 1 to Sunday, October 11.
IMPORTANT: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan has issued a Level 3 advisory, “Avoid all travel,” for the relevant areas of Russia, including the Tula Region. Anyone considering participation must check the latest safety information on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Overseas Safety Website.
Registration:
Please apply using the registration form below by Tuesday, September 1. Players and accompanying persons who require a visa must apply by Saturday, August 15. Please review the tournament regulations carefully and submit your application only after confirming your understanding and acceptance of all terms and conditions.
※A parent or guardian is requested to accompany the player when participating.
※Accompanying persons are required to stay at the official hotel. The costs for accompanying persons are as stated in the tournament regulations.
Eligibility: U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 and U17 (Open and Girls sections; one invited spot per category, for a total of 12 invitation spots)
U7: Born on or after January 1, 2019
U9: Born on or after January 1, 2017
U11: Born on or after January 1, 2015
U13: Born on or after January 1, 2013
U15: Born on or after January 1, 2011
U17: Born on or after January 1, 2009
Official players will not need to pay for accommodation and meals. Official players will be determined based on the results of the Japan Youth Chess Championship 2026 and the Japan Cadets Chess Championship 2026.
In this tournament, direct titles will be awarded according to FIDE regulations.
