Dear friends,

ICC, the pioneer in online chess, has informed us that they are relaunching with a brand new platform. We see this as a very positive development that will improve the chess landscape, as it offers one more alternative in the market, leading to innovation, and benefitting the entire chess community.

For these reasons, our Federation is willing to support this new project by inviting all our players to test this new play zone. We are among the first to be welcome to this new platform, together with the Panama, Singapore and Norway chess Federations: it is exciting to receive this opportunity to experience something new.

“ICC 2.0” just went live, and you can try it at https://play.chessclub.com. Our feedback and suggestions will help them improve the platform, and develop new features that will be added in the next months. You can contact directly their director of communications, David Llada, at davidllada@chessclub.com, to offer your comments and suggestions.

Part of ICC’s vision is to offer a simplified interface, with the aim to make chess more accessible and less intimidating to beginners, while satisfying the needs of advanced users. With an executive team formed by professionals from the gaming world, their goal is to provide a more engaging experience to all, and bring chess to a larger audience.
