FIDE World Senior Chess Championships 2024

FIDE World Senior Chess Championships 2024 will be held from Saturday, November 16th to Friday, November 29th in Porto Santo, Portugal.

Eligibility: 

Over-50：Players over 50 (players who have reached the age of 50 by December 31st, 2024, and were born in and before 1974.)

Over-65：Playres over 65 (players who have reached the age of 50 by December 31st, 2024, and were born in and before 1959.)

In this tournament, direct titles will be awarded to the top three players in each of the Open and Women categories according to FIDE regulations in force. FIDE over-the-board title norms are also possible as per FIDE Handbook requirements.

Total Prize fund: 42,500 Euro
