EnglishThe 27th Asian Youth Chess Championships 2025 will be held from Thursday, November 20 to Sunday, November 30 in Bangkok, Thailand.
Registration: Please email japanchess.info@gmail.com by Wednesday, October 1.
Eligibility: U8, U10, U12, U14, U16, U18 (Open and Girls sections; one invited spot per category)
*U8 refers to players of Japan Chess Federation who have not reached the age of 8 by January 1, 2025.
(i.e. were born in and after 2017).
Official players will not need to pay for accommodation and meals. Official players will be determined based on the results of the Japan Youth Chess Championship 2025 and the Japan Cadets Chess Championship 2025.
In this tournament, direct titles will be awarded to the top three players in each of the Open and Girls categories according to FIDE regulations.

U18 – Gold: IM/WIM title, 1st equal: IM/WIM norm, Silver and Bronze: FM/WFM title

U16 – Gold: IM/WIM norm, 1st equal: FM/WFM title, Silver and Bronze: CM/WCM title

U14 & U12 – Gold: FM/WFM title, Silver and Bronze: CM/WCM title

U10 & U8 – Gold, Silver, and Bronze: CM/WCM title
Each title will be awarded once the player has reached the following rating thresholds, even at a previous time:
IM 2200 / WIM 2000, FM 2100 / WFM 1900, CM 2000 / WCM 1800.
