EnglishThe Eastern Asia Juniors and Girls Chess Championships 2025 will be held from Monday, December 22 to Tuesday, December 30 in Hong Kong.

Eligibility: U20 (Open and Girls section; one invited spot per section)
*U20 refers to players who have not reached the age of 20 by January 1, 2025.
(i.e. were born in and after 2005).
Official players will not need to pay for accommodation and meals, and the entry fee will be half-priced. If there are multiple applicants from Japan, the invited spots will be decided based on rating.
In this tournament, direct titles will be awarded to the top three players in each of the Open and Girls sections according to the current FIDE regulations.
The Gold medalist shall receive a GM / WGM norm. 1st equal players (best 3 players after tiebreak) shall receive the title of IM / WIM. The Silver and Bronze medalists shall receive the title of FM / WFM and IM / WIM norms.
For a direct title to be awarded immediately an applicant has to achieved at some time a minimum rating published or interim as follows:
IM 2200 / WIM 2000, FM 2100 / WFM 1900
